Watching Over. by gamelee

Watching Over.

Having two hours previous passed this spot I realised that this horse was stood in exactly in the same place, and the foal was still asleep. there were other foals in the field with mothers stood by just like this one, curiously though they're all stood on three legs holding one of their back legs just off the ground.
Aw, very sweet!

Nice one Lee - someone once told me that foals lay down a lot because that is when they grow.

Lovely scene. The mums are resting too. Adults don't lie down for very long because it puts pressure on their internal organs. There's info. here : http://horses.about.com/od/understandinghorses/a/horsesleep.htm
