Shining Tor. by gamelee

Shining Tor.

Shining Tor is a hill in the Peak District on the border between Derbyshire and Cheshire.

In the distance is Shutlingsloe a hill near the village of Wildboarclough.
Oh you were in the area too - just above where Hen Harrier Day took place and you could have come to Hen Harrier Eve in Buxton after your walk - that's a shame! A lovely photo though, great views up there.

Learned something new today, as to what a Tor is!! Quite cool!! Such a beautiful place and you can see forever. We scattered my mother's ashes on a "Tor" in Eagle, Alaska. It was at the top of a mountain and the few similar to this, with mountains at 360 degrees!! A stunning place and so is this!! Instant FAV!
