This tree is just on the inside of a gate that leads to a large walled area containing a reservoir, around the reservoir is a path made by walkers, the distance around the reservoir is about 1.5 km. It's a very popular walking area.
Many people walk their dogs in this area and that's fine, they go through the gate and after letting the dog off its lead? They walk around the reservoir, with most walkers collecting any waste the dog leaves behind, Great! Though there are still a good number that don't collect it and there's nothing more vile than dog waste and the owners who can't be bothered to clean up after their dog.
Having walked around the reservoir and just before exiting through the gate we approach this tree, at which point a number of dog walkers dump the dog waste in its plastic bag by the tree. Some even hang them on the tree branches.
As I walked by the spot today there were five plastic bags there with dog waste in, truly despicable people.
I totally agree and as a dog owner, I am appalled by the behavior of many others. Most communes (towns) in France have poo bag dispensers and special litter bins for such. Sadly many ignore these facilities with gay abandon.
Such dreadful behaviour. I have to sat that in our area people are quite respectful of taking their doggy dos home with them in plastic bags and our doggy beaches here have plastic bags by the car park and also a dog poo bin too.
The problem is that people are reluctant to keep the countryside clean and dog owners see it as their back yard. When we are walking in a group we call out "Bingo" and point to the offending turds so that no-one steps in it.
