Thank you all for the great comments and faves, I'll admit it is me on the rock. I set my camera on a tripod and used a remote trigger. As I was setting up for this shot a group of about eight walkers appeared stopped and started taking photos with their mobile phones, I waited until they were well out of sight otherwise I'd have been an image on several mobile phones. Maybe even someones shot for the day.

@skipt07 I do edit my photos, but one thing I never do is try to deceive the viewer. What you see is what was taken.

@gamelee That's brilliant!
September 9th, 2017
@gamelee - Lee I hope you didn't take my comment personally. I know there are people very adept at photoshopping and being on that ledge looks pretty precarious. I saw that one commenter suggested that it was you, but I wondered how you triggered the camera? I know my remote wouldn't work from that distance and to use the camera's timer wouldn't give you much time to trip the shutter and safely negotiate the terrain and get seated.

@skipt07 I use one of these, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01CJ5UC8I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 a great bit of kit for the price. They'll allow you to trigger your camera wirelessly up to 100 meters. Thanks for the reply.

Oh wow! That's a hell of a selfie and a stunning view. I'll definitely check this one out, thank you :)
