The Pike Tower.

A Grade II listed building on the summit of Rivington pike. Built by John Andrews of Rivington Hall in 1733 on the site of an ancient beacon using its stone for the foundations. It was built as a hunting lodge.
beautifully composed and has a great atmosphere about it.

Good to see this tower...I met my DIL in March at Rivington Pike but we just ate & talked, felt guilty not climbing to the tower....seen it now! Great striking photo!
