Cats choose who
they bond with.
It cannot be forced.
If you are the chosen one
embrace it as a gift.
You have your cat's love.

Love her on Black.
My Katniss. My first kitty came to me as an abandoned and pregnant stray when the family moved and left her behind. I took care of her and her kitten for 3 months before finding them both homes. However, after Katniss left, I knew it was a mistake. She had trusted me and I felt like I let her down. The couple who took her home did not follow through with what I had asked them to do, like take Katniss for another ear mite treatment which she needed. I asked for her back. They called her "just a cat" which upset me and then luckily they agreed to return her. She was gone for 2 1/2 weeks and I was a hysterical mess worrying about her. I am thankful every day she was returned because I didn't know what I had been missing all my life by not having a cat.
Katniss needed shelter during a wild and windy downpour and found it in our garage on March 12, 2016. She was discovered sitting on the hood of my car on March 13. So, now we celebrate her birthday on that date as the vet said she was about a year old. Happy Belated 4th Birthday Sweet Katniss. I cannot believe it has been 3 purrfect years already! I needed to post her on a green day for the rainbow month.
Katniss is a treasure and what a lovely story. She is lucky to have found you.
We adopted a cat when we lived in Melbourne, Miffy belonged to our neighbour and when we moved from there another house we asked if we could take her with us. The neighbour agreed and said Miffy wouldn't stay because she was a wanderer. She didn't wander far and we had her for 18 years until she left us for that great cattery in the sky.
What a lovely story....you were so right to get her back.....for both of you ! Before we moved 300 miles to Cornwall we fed and semi-looked after a street cat.......who immediately decided to move in with us.......no-one seemed to know where he came from, so when we moved we cat-knapped him and brought him with us......he lived with us until he was about 15 and then he went over the Rainbow Bridge.......strays seem to seek us out....we have adopted three other 'street' cats and now an elderly male from a local rescue ....we must be well known in the cat world as a soft touch !
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post. I remember the whole story, her sweet kitty Panda and every day Katniss was gone. Posting her on the 14th with her green eyes is the first day of her 5th year. A purrrrr-fect post, CC.
