We had a wild weather night! High winds and pounding rain. A section of our fence blew down and several branches fell from our redwood trees. Luckily we did not lose power like many in our area. More wind and rain for the rest of the week.
Sophie Belle was going to have her foot surgery today and teeth cleaning, after a two week delay. Luckily, her foot has continued to improve. The swelling went down, her toe is no longer out of alignment and the hard lump has disappeared...a small happy miracle! Hallelujah! She no longer needs to have her toe amputated, bump removed and biopsy...only if it returns. The unexpected postponement was a good thing after all.
Teeth cleaning is still taking place today but I am OK with that. I can't wait to pick her up and bring her back home. Thank you for all your well wishes!!!
Oh she is a sweetie! Our weather is wonderfullly wicked here too! But it's incredible - Cambria at 8PM has already received 6"! They continue to show the crazy weather map and there's always the smallest of fairly clear spots... just over our area! So we continue with the light rain - I'll take it! Shell Beach, literally three miles up the way and they are reporting and inch or so more than us! Paradise indeed. Stay safe there! Enjoy your sweet de-stressors' company!
@louannwarren We had 68mph winds in Sacramento. Lots of downed trees blocking roadways, falling on top of vehicles and homes. We lucked out by only having one section of fence fall and some smaller branches from our redwood trees. High winds make me nervous!
