I have such fond memories of making these, as a child visiting in Kansas, with my favorite Aunt Dorothy. They are delicious! I have lowered the temp to 375 degrees for baking in our oven. Just check on them because you do not want the bottom of the ginger to be darker than the topā¦consistent in color. Plus they are suppose to be soft and they get even better the next day or two. Full of flavor and a favorite! You can store in a tin with wax paper between layers. I hope you enjoy them as much as our family does. You can also double the recipe as well. Make sure dough is chilled before baking so they stay mounded.
