Some of these buttons run the machine automatically and some of them also have a manual application. The start/stop button will run the machine but there is also a foot pedal that will do it. I never change the sewing speed because I figure the machine knows best about what speed it sews and I often control the speed with the foot pedal anyway. The ∩ arrow is the reverse button and the button to the far right will raise the presser foot while the one below it and to the left lowers it! My favorite button is the scissors one because when I press it the thread is automatically cut and I don't need to pick up scissors to do it! It also automatically cuts the thread for thread color changes when embroidering.
So sophisticated. At first I thought that this was a remote control and sat and imagined how it would be to sew/embroider something via remote control.
