Zero Calories

There seem to be a lot of holidays centered around food which I am not entirely opposed to but it could become problematic this month! I did go in search of a strawberry rhubarb pie for my photo today but was unable to find one. I am not completely disappointed by that. I do love rhubarb pie but am not a great fan of the strawberry required for today's holiday so this photo of one works for me

I have one recipe that calls for rhubarb- it's a sauce to pour over vanilla ice cream- very tasty but none of the ingredients on hand, so I'm zero calories today too! Good idea!

At least here in the summer it tends to be more healthy with salads included not like Thanksgiving through New Years. At least in the states.

@olivetreeann my mother used to make rhubarb sauce also and the pies. It just doesn’t grow here so I have to go without unless I buy it from a store already made

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I don’t think I have ever eaten one with the blended flavors because I like rhubarb by itself, but I agree with you. It doesn’t seem like they would work well together Jackie .
