Lion Fountain

The film challenge sent me in hunt of a variety of shots in a very short time. Being basically lazy there will be several that are from the same area. This one is from the same area as http://365project.org/grammyn/everything-else/2012-02-05

Kodak 35mm 400ISO
great textures!

@hannahferrari21 Thanks,Hanna. The other one I posted got the same kind of comments. What do you think is so appealing about old brick?

I don't even own a film camera anymore. Would have to hunt the stores for a disposable! Nice combo of textures as your subject.

That's been the hard part of film challenge for me! It's very easy to go pop off a roll somewhere, but then there you are with 24 days of "oh, look, she went to the park". :) Mixing it up has been tough.

The color tones on these are incredibly soft, Katy. They're so artistic . . I love them and enjoy seeing them.

Nicely done, Katy....the colours are nice and the plastered part is a perfect contrast.

@debsphotos Thank, Debbie. I do like an old brick wall for some reason.

@beautifulthing I can totally identify. ;~} Peter deGraff went to some type of a fair and got lots of different shots which was a great idea but there were no fairs in town in the time frame I needed for me to do that! I'll have to check out what you have done when I get caught up here!

@karenann KarenAnn, you continue to say the nicest things. It makes me feel so good to know you are enjoying these. Thank you so much.

Why do we love brick so much?! -And you're right -it's OLD brick that makes it all so wonderful! New bricks have sharper edges, but old bricks are smooth; rounded. Ahh -if those walls could speak! Great shot!

Interesting shots!
For both, I would have maybe put in parallel the edge of the vertical lines of the pic with the vertical lines of the wall.

@maeva I actually though about trying to do that but when I did it made the horizontal lines worse. I think it was because of the perspective. Thanks very much,Maeva. I know that is something I need to watch.
