I am kicking myself today because I had the opportunity to choose these fish right out of the tank at the restaurant with Ruth and for some unknown reason declined to do it!
For me one of the best parts of visiting Beirut was the chance to try so many new and different foods. This was at a wonderful restaurant in Jbeil/ Byblos, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world.
Ruth treated me to several fabulous restaurants around the country and there was always a vast array of foods, too many for me to list here. I only found one or two that I didn't like and tried everything that was offered!
Oh Katy, how in the world did you decline this dish? It's one of my favorite ones, with good lemon or lime juice... ummm, my mouth is watering. Delicious and inviting capture.
Not sure I could eat a fish that had its eyes on me... Other than that it looks delish... We are having some bass tonight that Marvin and Kevin caught... no eyes and it's steamed, not fried, but it is delish!
