sooc
I wanted to capture this a few night ago when it was much thinner but we had clouds and it was behind the tree line so I had to wait until tonight and it isn't quite as dramatic but still There probably wouldn't have been any craters visible then. The craters were a bonus for me because I didn't see them until I looked at the picture in my camera
Glad to see you venturing out into the night :)
If you can shot with a tripod and self-timer, and then underexpose. The camera's metering is stupid. It thinks there is little light so let's make the picture bright....and then you lose the details. Underespose (if you can)!
@noaceyet Thanks so much for the advice. I don't think I can do that with this camera but ....soon! I'm going to need lots of guidance and advice from you!
I wanted to take it a couple of nights ago, too, but also clouds when I got home and no camera when it was visible! This is a very nice shot... can't wait to see some from the new camera! :)
@marilyn Thanks. If you read the other comments you'll notice Robert told me everything I did wrong. ;.} I din't tell anyone it was also minute shot while I was cooking dinner so it had to be quick and no time to set all that stuff up! Hopefully the new camera will do better. I'm sure you will have plenty of opportunity to get one as well. Patience is the lesson with this project, isn't it?
