The man who was using this rod walked a ways off and this great blue heron was diligently watching his line for him,perhaps on hopes of cashing in on a catch! It takes a lot of skill to get a bird to watch your line for you!
Such a regal sentry and he does appear to be keeping close watch.
Don't know if the fisherman or the heron caught anything, but you made a perfect catch for sure.
