Christmas Past by grammyn

Christmas Past

My husband's family always had lit candles in the windows at Christmas time and so we have them at our house too.
You got fog ?? Took some shots for inside the window of my candles. Window up, screen up and thankfully Bob not home..lol

Very nice. We all try to keep the traditions alive that we grew up with. I told Tom at the grocery this evening that I was trying so hard to be my Mom. I can't find the right brand of BBQ for Christmas Eve.......silly - but very important to my son.

It really adds a nice touch to the house. We used to put up the candles too, but that's something we haven't done in a long time

Great tradition! Candles in the windows was very popular in our neighborhood when we lived in Virginia.

@deburahiru My husband is from Maine so maybe it is an east coast custom!

@grammyn
In Maine the window would ice on the outside and the candles would take on all sorts of beautiful ice patterns.

@prn I wish we could get that here!
