How neat, and it is so exciting to put family history into something you are able to visualize like this. I have purchased some vintage bubble glass frames, and other vintage frames on E-Bay for some photos, but I have not the wall space I need to do this. I must make room. This is such a cool idea.
@grammyn Oh they have some nice ones on E-Bay, and really reasonable tto. You just need to look at them and read the description to make sure they are not damaged. The ones I have bought, I then take the frame to a place like Hobby Lobby where they will cut a matt, and actually put it in the frame for me. It can be a littlk etricky getting the photos to fit in those odd shapes. You must check it out. They have otehr old frames too, some really nice heavy ones.
@eudora thanks, Diane! funny you should say that because as I was trying to find out who the people were so I could write on the back of the photos I started doing the same thing!
This is a wonderful collection of family photos. I like to see vintage family portraits framed, on a wall.
My sister did extensive research on our family ancestry. She was able to connect with relatives back east and down south on the internet, and they exchanged lots of info and family photos.
The internet opens up so many doors to so many things....um, like photography! ;-)
@pasadenarose I am glad you like it ! thanks so much!
I spent a little time looking around while I was doing this and you are so right! For me right now the photography thing is my favorite door opened! ;~}
