A Little Bit More

For a small town girl like me to see a huge concrete truck on the side of the road in the middle of the city was fascinating. This bucket was being loaded to be carried many stories up and dumped somewhere way above by a crane. The gentleman was in charge of telling the man in the truck when to stop pumping.
Cool shot. So they build the new buildings but in the old ways?

@cdonohoue Thanks, I would say in new ways but I don't see anything like this in my tiny town (we have ONE three story building) so I am not the one to ask probably!

Deb
The B & W is great on this shot!

Perfect in B&W and perfect composition!

@deburahiru Thanks, Deb! It is the only B&W in my Beirut shots so far and I was a little hesitant to do it so it is good to know you like it!

@marilyn I am glad you like the B&W I was a little worried about using it! Everything is so colorful it seems a shame to delete that!

I love that you're fascinated by a concrete truck!! It must be a charming little town you live in. :-)
Great composition on this, and I really like the expression on the man, keeping a close eye on the process. I don't know what the colored version looked like, but B&W suits it very well.

@pasadenarose LOL! that sounded so condescending! ( I am not a bit insulted, seriously) It doesn't take much to fascinate me anyway no matter where I live! I like being filled with wonder at all that is around me. Thanks for all the support, Rose! It really means a lot to me!

I honestly meant it in total complimentary fashion. :-)

And I get totally enthralled by daily things too. "Easily entertained and amused"...that's me. If we don't take delight in the ordinary things around us, we miss out on a LOT of delight.

@pasadenarose LOL! I knew that! "charming little town" is what got me! ;~} I hope I didn't upset you! I do that sometimes without realizing it! The written word is so poor at depicting nuances of the spoken word too!

Oh no! No offense taken. *smiley face*
And agreed about misinterpreting the written word, especially when conversing with someone we don't know in person.

And I LOVE charming little towns. When I travel, I seek places away from the mania of urban life.
