I'm sorry for featuring my poinsettias again but this is the very first time ever they have re-bloomed for me and I like the way the spring sunshine highlights the bracts.
I love poinsettias, they used to grow wild in our garden in Africa. Here in England they are produced in pots for Xmas. However I haven't the heart to buy them after know how they love the heat and freedom. A lovely memory thanks, and great picture, I can feel the sunshine!
@silverlight I am so glad you like this, Cheryl! We get them only in pots at Christmas too and these have been replanted in a pot I set out in the summer
@digitalrn They don't, Rick! these are last year's plants that I picked up from the trash on the road after Christmas. I transplant them a lot but this is the first set that has re-bloomed.
@silverlight LOL! thanks! It is nice to be appreciated for the accomplishment! I usually get what you described about your efforts. the impressive thing about these is I did NOTHING! They just happened.
Very clever indeed......a chef, a garden expert....what next?? Yes mine usually look sad, then sadder, then nearly dead, then very nearly etc etc etc!!!
@ruthmouch Are you familiar with the saying"Jack of all trades, master of none"? .......... me ;~} I can keep them green but the red is a challenge! Apparently neglect is the key!!!
