My first ever attempt at refraction. So many of my friends did such remarkable images for the One Week Only challenge of refraction I decided I needed to at least TRY. A day late and still so much to learn about lighting and angle but at least I pushed myself AND I got a happy little face out of it too!
it looks like felix the cat in colour! see what i mean about refraction? for all the wine glasses i have in different shapes and patterns, i couldn't get anything near this. :-)
Looks like a good try to me- after bombing out with oil and water shots a few years ago, and now struggling like you to get a decent refraction shot, I am now swearing off any more gimmicks like this. I just don't have the knack for it!
Awesome job on your first attempt! Such a unique little face. My hardest part with refraction is controlling those distracting reflections on the glass. You did a good job controlling them!

I seldom post in more than one album so apparently I totally forgot about this photo.Either that or I DID respond but forgot to hit post at the end which is probably the more likely scenario. I really appreciate all your encouraging words. I was really happy with the little face but i was not able to eliminate ALL the reflections on the glass either. Something to strive for!
