Interesting response to the challenge! I feel like the subtle lighting and the cool reflection elevated the lowly twist-ties into something more.

the OOF one at the back looks like a slow shutter shot of some sort of flying insect - maybe a dragonfly-type or something similar.. the foreground one looks like a spider-ling coming to get you... it looks like both creations have descended form the 'black hole'..
the longer i look the more i like it.. 😎

I'm puzzled by this challenge.. abstract is abstract and therefore unrecognisable as a real object and a twist-tie is recognisably real!

@yrhenwr I get confused about this challenge too...is it mundane or abstract. I started this shot as mundane, but then other commenters (I don't think that's a word but you get it) suggested it was abstract. I'm just having fun.
