Long Exposure I by granagringa

Long Exposure I

My first attempt at using long exposure and using a tripod (tripod broke immediately afterward...need new one to continue this learning curve.) I consider this a baseline photo. Hopefully, future ones will be better and more interesting.
This is very nice captured!

@jerome @bkbinthecity thanks to both of you. As I said, this is my first attempt so I really appreciate the encouragement.

Congratulations on your first step. You can get by without a tripod, especially in a city. Just put the camera on the floor, a bench, a wall - improvisation is the key. I once took a long exposure shot with the camera resting on the pushbutton box at a pedestrian crossing.

@laroque Thanks. Great recommendations. The challenge for me is not only the placement of camera, but figuring out when long exposures are most effective. And I really appreciate the encouragement.

Very nice long exposure - you caught the beauty of this city.

How fun - this is an interesting skyline :-) Once you get your new tripod be warned long/night photography can be very addicting, so enjoy!

@elatedpixie Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. First have to get the camera out of the "camera clinic"!
