We had totality here in Salem, Oregon. And we didn't have to go far...just on to our balcony. Alex and her five kids, Ron (my husband) and I....french toast with blueberries and real maple syrup and a cosmic event! And no traffic ... lol!
@summerfield Nope, didn't do any shots of the eclipse...decided it was more fun to just live the moment (and not worry about the camera sensor!). There are so many wonderful shots of the eclipse, so just ate french toast and toasted the world and the cosmos!
I like the sentiment. I guess that unless you are looking for the perfect picture that is just better than anyone elses, you might as well enjoy the time and take the other photo opportunities like this one. No one else will have this capture to remind them of the special event. I love the look of concentration on their faces.
