Beds to change this morning. Washing hung out & housework all done so I sat in my chair outside for a while before I caught up with the ironing.
I was watching all the bees & a couple of butterflies all over this lavender. There were so many of them...not much of a photo but it's all I have today.
Three good things:
1. Such lovely comments from the little family I had in over the weekend. Girls of five & seven & dad. The girls were very bright, the books they were reading so grown up.
2. Caring single fathers doing such a hard job.
3. My B&B guy is in the garage trying to improve the horrid marks on my car. He apparently has some magic lotion that might fix it before it goes in for body spray at the garage next week.
I thought about your car the other day. Did they ever decide what happened? Oh your lavender is so tall and beautiful (and delicious, to the bees anyway).
@louannwarren They said it was bird poo Lou Ann & the very hot sun had burnt it on the paint work. The B&B says he thinks more like tree sap but he's out there doing his best. It's unlikely to improve much but he has got the smaller marke off. He's tackling the worst one now!
I can see the little bumble bee clinging to the lavender! Your life is really enriched by your B&B business - don't know I would have the energy now! Scratches on the car sound bad - people been banging into it?
@maggiemae No hot weather at fault. The garage say it was some bird poo & the hot sun baked it on causing damage to paint work on the bonnet & wings. Neither Harry & I can remember seeing bird poo there. The B&B says he thoughtbtree sap but it's going to cost £1100 to repair, going in next Monday. B&B man has done a good job moving to very small marks but the biggest one is still there & loads of others to tackle yet. Will have a look in the morning but think we will still have it repaired on insurance at garage.
Expensive business getting marks on your car isn't it. We get bat poo on our cars sometimes and it sets like concrete. We also get gum tree sap too and the combination of the two on my car cost $1000 to respray.
Interesting about car marks....well done to your b&b guy!!
