I’m sorry to say, I’ve only been able to save a very few of my childhood’s books… I was pretty reckless. But as an adult, I’ve more than made up for it, having collected about 2200-ish of them… ;-p

@bankmann Wow! That is a lot of books. I love reading too. I also try to repair them when damaged.....not my own, but the books in my workspace. It always hurts to see them mistreated.
