Treated myself to this plant at the weekend. I have never seen one before. It hails from South Africa, it appears, and is called 'Ornithogalum Dubium' or Sun Star. Nice and bright for a dull time of year, I thought.
Nice collage. I grew something very like this in my garden a couple of years ago. It was definitely the same family (ornithogalum) but a smaller flowered variety and I haven't been able to find it since. The orange colour was so bright that it looked almost unnatural. Going to renew my quest to find it again.
