First of my shots from my trip to Houston's Rodeo yesterday. This is from the Agricultural Show which goes on alongside - lots of lovely cows being prepared for display. I loved the beauty parlour!
@thresheg Thanks Graham, I had a great outing to the rodeo and came back with far too many photos. I've done the first sort, but there's still a lot of sorting to be done. The problem and the pleasure of digital photography!
I love to see the animals at the fair. This is a good shot. Is he really blowing the animal dry? I know they keep them so clean and tidy when they are shown.
@randystreat Oh yes they do Kathy! There are lines for the wash rooms - which I couldn't capture because of too many people everywhere. Then they get blow dried back in the stall - using special machines. This hose you see is part of it. They really look after the animals, and they all look so soft and fluffy afterwards!
@lucypics@bristolrose It's a great show - all the better as it was topped off by a Maroon 5 concert at the end - all for 35 US dollars. Can't complain. Well, I can, I had to stand for 4 hours in the same spot as I could't get a seat - but it was worth it!
@busylady Indeed - a lot of hair to dry! @milaniet It was a lovely day. It's a great event which is on for over 2 weeks, so I always manage to fit in a day - usually selected depending on the music in the evening - in this case, Maroon 5.
Reminds me of watching Crufts on the TV with all the preening. They look like good specimens (she says not having the slightest clue about what constitutes a good bovine specimen!!)
