Crystal Beach

Hubby and I made a visit down to the Gulf Coast today passing through Crystal Beach. Loved some of the beach houses there. A lot of them have been recently rebuilt following the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina.

@pixiemac This place is full of houses like this - built high to avoid flooding in the big tides. This one was particularly nice as it stood alone.

Thanks for sending me the link to this one. What a beautiful house and your image of it is terrific. Yes, that whole area was devastated by Hurricane Ike. Even in The Woodlands we had a lot of damage from that storm. It is great that people rebuilt.
