I went out for a walk with the camera yesterday evening and met my neighbour out walking his dogs, so asked if I could take a photograph of them. I just wanted a candid shot, but he insisted that they pose for me! Easier said than done, they wouldn't both sit at peace. This was the best of a bad lot!
My son's 19th birthday today, but feeling so frustrated as he had his phone stolen yesterday and I can't even text him on his birthday. Waiting for a Skype later today though when he's home and in front of his computer.
Classic shot, Issi - well snapped. And such bad luck for Zaz - where is he at the moment? We'd no way of contacting Ci when hers was stolen as the rats took her laptop, too. It's such a horrible feeling of not being able to protect them from the criminals out there :-( Hope he gets sorted out soon. Luckily Ed Uni made everyone take out insurance for their year abroad (phew!!).
@squaresparrow He's still in Sheffield, he finished his exams on Wednesday. It's so frustrating as there are so many things I need to talk to him about and I have to wait until the checks his emails, and the time difference doesn't help. Still, I'll see him in a couple of weeks as we'll be back over in Scotland, but in the meantime it's very frustrating!
@juliedduncan@tosee@pittcj17@thresheg@aecasey@allisonraposa@workinprogress2@slmaatta@trinda@lucypics Ha ha, thanks for all the comments and favs folks. I think after the day I've had, that this photo is in fact my son and I. I'm the one with my mouth open, spouting forth about having to go to the police, report the theft, then phone his insurance, and do it all TODAY, etc. etc. etc. He's the one with the bored look, thinking 'oh dear, what a hassle - I can't really be bothered with it all ... it's my birthday after all!' ;-)
Oh this is very sweet. People don't seem to get the non-posed shot thing. Hope your son gets his phone sorted soon. All sounds very familiar. Our son recently lost his phone on the night out. But in the phone case he also had his bank cards and driving licence. As he needed to be contacted due to work things he went the next day to sort out a new phone and I told him he would need ID. Obviously without his driving licence he had to take his Passport but managed to come home without that either. It was Sunday evening and the shops were shut so he had to wait until Monday to call and find out if he'd left it in the phone shop! Three days later he was due to go abroad and needed his passport. I've decided at 23 it's his lookout and refuse to get stressed any more!!!!!
This is a hilarious capture and a fav. Hope your son managed to have a happy birthday in spite of the stolen phone and that you had a great Skype session with him.
@pixiemac@carolyns@tristansmum Thank you ladies. I did get a Skype with my son eventually, but the phone thing was just so annoying. Fortunately it was insured. And to keep it in perspective, worse things do happen!
