Julien Aurouze and Co. is a pest control shop with an eye-grabbing front window festooned with dead rats and other assorted critters. In the first arrondissement of Paris. Yes, really!
The shop was featured briefly in the Disney/Pixar film Ratatouille in a scene where the protagonist rat, Remy, is shown the window by his father as a warning to stay away from humans.
Are those rats REAL? Really real, and really dead. Oh my stars. Well, I guess nothing says success for a rodent control business like dead rodents. Great find for a photo. Good processing choice too. Interesting about the movie feature. I'll have to watch closely for that if I ever watch the film again.
@lyndemc Really real and really dead. However, from the sign in the window, it seems they were captured in 1925 in the area where the shop is now. Paris's main food market used to be there, so I suppose it was overrun with mice and rats at the time. And even better, there's a restaurant next door to the shop! I mean, really?!
