I have been collecting stamps for almost 50 years now - boy that almost hurts to write! However, today, I'm a 'passive' collector, in that I don't search them out, I just keep those I receive on letters sent to me, or ones that friends keep for me. With the internet, there are less and less of these each year! But I still like to browse through my collection and add a few stamps from time to time.
With the number of people using technology to send messages and no longer writing letters and posting them, stamps are becoming a rarity. Fabulous colourful collection you have.
This is such a neat thing to have collected - and hadn't thought of the fact that they're becoming more of a rarity due to e-mail etc. Like your focus here.
You must have an amazing collection after 50 years! What you should do is ask all 365ers to post you a letter and then imagine the world wide collection you would get :) I'd post you one!
Cool. And nice shot of it. I am sure you have an amazing collection. So neat that you kept it up. I used to collect coins when I was young but did not keep up with it. I wish I had (and it would be at about 50 years for me as well if I had, so I get what you mean!)
@gilbertwood Ha ha! In that case ... I will provide it! 19 Ave de St Germain, 78290 Croissy sur Seine, France. Looking forward to receiving at least one envelope from Australia! ;-)
