First Day of the Fishing Season by jamibann

First Day of the Fishing Season

Driving up to Braemar yesterday, I had to stop the car and capture the lovely morning light, on the first day of the salmon fishing season. I was not going fishing however, but driving 90 miles to look at cladding, decking and wood flooring for the house extension. A worthwhile trip though. Better on black, naturally.
You realize, of course that to go salmon fishing in Scotland on the famous River Dee would be the dream vacation of many...and there you were, blithely driving past! What a gorgeous view it was when you captured this; everything I would imagine Scotland to be!

@Weezilou Ha ha ... I know! My husband, for one, would swop places with me gladly! However, he'd definitely be on the river and not in Sawmill and Wood workshop!

Love that there's a hint of blue sky there - always love the Deeside scenery and used to enjoy it when I made trips out from Aberdeen when I was at Uni there

What a beautiful sight, and interesting to read the thread and learn more about this place as fishing destination.
