I went to WH Smiths Bookshop in Paris last night to see and hear David Lebovitz. It was lovely to meet and hear this 'American in Paris' talk - he's very entertaining and seems quite genuine.
I first heard of him when a Houston friend gave me his book 'The Sweet Life in Paris' as I was leaving Houston for Paris. I loved that book and since then I have followed his regular and amusing blog about food and restaurants in Paris on a weekly basis.
Of course I came home with 2 signed books - 'L'Appart' but also 'My French Kitchen'. Check him out, if you don't know of him already.
I also caught a stunning sunset at Place de la Concorde which I will post on my odds and sods album.
Sounds like a fantastic evening! I haven't read any of his books but I just read the introduction to 'The Sweet Life in Paris' (online) and it definitely sounds like a book I would enjoy. Thanks so much for the recommendation! :-)
