The Aul' tree and Clachnaben

I went to meet a friend for a coffee this afternoon - a friend from Paris days, who has also found herself back in Scotland. She's living in Aberdeen, so we arranged to meet half way, in Finzean. I stopped the car on the way there - the autumn colours were so pretty and you can just see the 'knuckle' of Clachnaben on the far right of the image. It was the tree however that caught my eye.

Don't be fooled by this sunny image though ... it is blowing a hoolie today!

@yorkshirekiwi Indeed. I had half considered cycling down, but too windy for me - I would risk being blown off my bike! Although I did pass a couple of cyclists taking the risk!

@sarah19 First time I've ever to been the the Finzean Coffee Shop ... although I've intended to go for years! A lovely little spot and some nice items for sale too. I came home with several types of oatcakes and some home-made bread.
