This just tickled my sense of humour in Aberdeen on Tuesday. I was checking out some more of the 'Oor Wullie' sculptures around the town again, and found this bright and cheery fellow opposite the theatre. He was designed by Lorna Jappy and is called 'Celebrating Hope'. What I found amusing is that he is situated across the road from an ancient statue of William Wallace. I had to get down on the pavement to get the two of them in one image, and I got some strange looks in so doing, but I thought the result was fun! Two 'famous' Williams in one shot. :-)
Well done!! Oor Wullie was my favourite when I was growing up. My dad had all the annuals along with the Broons and if we were good he would give us one to read, I knew them back to front, they were great back then, mind you it was over 60 years ago and so well thumbed they had no covers, so many memories.
