St Andrews Beach Birds by jamibann

St Andrews Beach Birds

We started the day with a walk on the beach at St. Andrews, yesterday, prior to heading to the wedding celebration in a nearby town.

For the first time in, I don't know how many years, my college friends, Jan, Alison and I, were able to see all 5 of our children together. It was as if no time had passed. The 'kids' now range from 31 years of age to 24 and all got on like a house on fire. There was lots of eating, drinking and dancing at the ceilidh with a great cross section of people from Scotland, the US and elsewhere. A wonderful day which will be long remembered.

Alexander departs later today, though. :-( Short and sweet.
Fabulous light on mornings like these and such a special day!

What a wonderful way to all come together. And the image works really well with that flock in context.

So nice that everyone could be together. It is hard when the ‘kids’ are all pursuing their own lives to assemble them in one place. Interesting image with all those birds.

It sounds a fabulous weekend...nothing nicer than a get together specially with a wedding involved!
Love this shot....the group of birds but the well placed humans are just perfect! Fave.
