Poor Rosine did not have the right shoes for this walk this morning, but she was determined to do it, as it was 'in the plan'. In my plan, that is! We made it to the top and were rewarded with fabulous frosty, misty views of the city of Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.
@gilbertwood This is all I could find about the origins of Edinburgh's 'Arthur's Seat': "The 'seat' is said to refer to a notch between the highest point of the peak and a secondary point of the hill. Most likely, the name originates from the Gaelic name Ard-na-Said, which means height of arrows."
