Arthur's Seat on a cold and frosty morning

Poor Rosine did not have the right shoes for this walk this morning, but she was determined to do it, as it was 'in the plan'. In my plan, that is! We made it to the top and were rewarded with fabulous frosty, misty views of the city of Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.

I'll catch up on my commenting again soon!

Wonderful Issy, such a great view, and I like how you added Arthur's Seat and some people in the foreground.

Stunning view - definitely worth the hike up :) We have an Arthur's seat hear in Vic, Australia too. Is there a meaning behind the name? fav

@gilbertwood This is all I could find about the origins of Edinburgh's 'Arthur's Seat': "The 'seat' is said to refer to a notch between the highest point of the peak and a secondary point of the hill. Most likely, the name originates from the Gaelic name Ard-na-Said, which means height of arrows."
