This is a tiny tea shop in Lumphanan, run by an elderly lady, Ros, a retired school teacher (and boy don't you know it!). Ros definitely keeps you right.
She serves lovely tea served in china cups and saucers but also serves excellent coffee, and she has a great selection of cakes. Service is not quick as Ros works on her own and is quite fastidious, wanting to get things right. And she does!
On Tuesday, when about 14 of us stopped in by, we gave her fair warning that we were coming. On arrival, it was lovely to see that she had arranged for her grandson to be there to help out.
Lovely shot and story, such a tiny and quaint looking tea shop. Are those all your backpacks and walking sticks outside? Here they would be gone within seconds ;-)
@ludwigsdiana Yes they belonged to us - mine is the blue one, sitting on the ground in front of the table. They were very safe in Lumphanan! Plus I stayed outside with a carry-out coffee, leaving seats inside for all our 'guests', and there were also some people sitting on a wall on the other side of the road, keeping an eye out. :-)
@julzmaioro None indeed. When we first visited (on a recce) there were 8 of us and Ros told us which tables we could sit at. Some rebels sat elsewhere. They were soon moved! Ha ha ...made me smile as hubby was one of them! ;-)
Delightful on so many counts- and why stop working when someone says you're of "that age"? Bravo to Ros, and my her business thrive! Nice shot of her lovely shop. You could make a post card for her!
You got me on the great selection of cakes and coffee.
