On Friday we took dad out for lunch at a restaurant near Banchory called The Cowshed. It was really good and they did 'senior sized' meals too, which meant that dad wasn't faced with a huge plate of food that he couldn't eat.
Afterwards we drove a little further out the road to a farm shop that my brother wanted to visit. It was closed, unfortunately, but as we were turning to leave, we spotted this very friendly horse in a field. Dad was delighted to get out of the car and pet the horse. He has a soft spot for horses and dogs - from his farm days, definitely.
Senior meals, what a great idea, I sometimes choose a starter these day. Dad looks very well, he would so enjoy his family meal lovely horse. Dad & son is a keeper.
