Last stop before driving back to our starting point in Anchorage was the Alaska SeaLife Center on Resurrection Bay in Seward. Affiliated with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, this amazing public aquarium performs research and marine animal rehabilitation.
We observed this Horned Puffin and so much more in the 3 hours we spent marveling at the beautiful exhibits. After viewing wild Horned Puffins nesting in the sea caves of Prince William Sound a few days earlier, it was thrilling to get this close to one and really have a good look at its remarkable beauty.
