Sometimes, something delights me so much that I smile. And linger. Savoring the gift a bit longer. Such is the case with this corner of my kitchen garden. The curly, dark green leaves of parsley…the erect, spiky leaves of rosemary…the silvery, velvet leaves of sage…such textures! Throw in the smooth, marbled leaves of nasturtium and the pungent, familiar scent of marigolds, and I’m there. Gratefully there. This morning we waited together, those pretty plants and I, for the sun to come ‘round the house and warm us delightfully awake.
@dsp2 Thank you so much! I love nasturtiums, so I plant them every year in the kitchen garden. I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my photo!
Looks lovely- I was going to do the community garden this year, but it started up so late I decided not to go for it. Next year my garden will be in pots on the deck!
@cejaanderson Thank you, Jane! My kitchen garden is my newest garden, and it has become my favorite. This is its second year, and I thoroughly enjoy it!
