I’m thankful for the gift of morning sun shining in the big window. Stepping into the upper hall each morning, I search for sunlight. It’s never hard to find. Today, I found it resting on the wooden rails of the staircase; and the intensity stopped me in my tracks. I love the challenge of photographing a scene like this where split second decisions regarding camera settings need to be made before the sun rises higher and the moment is lost. Beginning the day focused on light (both literal and spiritual) positively impacts my day, and thanks for that comes easy!
I like viewing this image best on the black backround.
I’m dedicating November to giving thanks! For years, I’ve kept a gratitude journal in which I jot down things that I’m thankful for. During this month when we’ll celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I’m going to take my gratitude for God’s good gifts one step further by photographing a particularly meaningful gift each day for my 365 project! I've always viewed the subjects of my images as gifts, but I'm looking forward to this month of intentionally labeling them as such. This will enable me to spend a bit more time dwelling on God's goodness and offering the thanks that He deserves. If anyone would like to join me in this celebration of grace, please do! I’ll be tagging my images: all-is-grace.
@rhoing Thank you so much, Thom! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting! 365 definitely is an eye-opener. I'm so grateful for the inspiration I find on this site!
