I’m thankful for the gift of ruffles. What is it about ruffles? I’m drawn to their carefree abandon! Yes, I admire ruffles with their complete disregard for order, their rambling along unhindered, their freedom. Imagine! I’ll take happy-go-lucky ruffles wherever I can get them. Today I got them in the garden, and I smiled. All is grace.
I’m dedicating November to giving thanks! For years, I’ve kept a gratitude journal in which I jot down things that I’m thankful for. During this month when we’ll celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I’m going to take my gratitude for God’s good gifts one step further by photographing a particularly meaningful gift each day for my 365 project! I've always viewed the subjects of my images as gifts, but I'm looking forward to this month of intentionally labeling them as such. This will enable me to spend a bit more time dwelling on God's goodness and offering the thanks that He deserves. If anyone would like to join me in this celebration of grace, please do! I’ll be tagging my images: all-is-grace.
@cejaanderson Thank you kindly for your enthusiastic comment, your fav, and the ruffles on your sweet grandaughter, Jane! :-) Ruffles go together just perfectly with little girls! I can't help but smile when I see ruffles. They're a simple pleasure, I know, but they add such joy to life!
@milaniet Thanking you for viewing and commenting! Ruffles always make me happy, especially in the garden. I'm drawn to ruffle-edged plants, and I'll be looking for more to add come Spring!
I very much like your description of the characteristics of ruffles! This is such a bright and cheery picture, one quite in contrast to the next day's dark and frosty.
@lyndemc Thank you! Yes, the two pictures are quite different. The weather was, too. When I snapped the ruffles, it was chilly but sunny. The next morning, freezing cold with gray skies and frost. Such is November here in western Pennsylvania. We never quite know what's next!
