I caught Poofie at a moment of rest. As Marley’s favorite toy, Poofie spends much of his day airborne. We throw Poofie for Marley to retrieve; and comically, Marley throws Poofie for Marley to retrieve. Poofie’s not really a dog toy. He is, er, was a collectible Ty Beanie Baby whose name really is Poofie. It was love at first sight when puppy Marley spotted Poofie in my daughter’s room nearly 9 years ago.
Marley and Poofie have since been inseparable except for one short period of time when Poofie went mysteriously missing. Without Poofie, Marley wasn’t himself; and this new, identical Poofie had to be ordered promptly to fill the void in Marley’s life. When we see Poofie like this, we smile. We know it won’t be long before Poofie takes flight once again.
I thought about straightening out the slant of this image, but I rather liked the zany feel the slant gave it. :-) Thank you all for your views, kind words, and favs of my images. I really appreciate your support!
What a sweet story. I'm surprised Poofie still looks so well despite his adventures. I think Ty Beanies are quite reasonable on eBay these days - perhaps it would be an idea to get a couple as reserves :)))
