Driving down a Winter weary street in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood yesterday, delightful dots of color dangling in a tree grabbed my attention. Christmas ornaments in March? No. Bird houses! Dozens of them, and I pulled over. With the cautious hesitation of walking in unfamiliar surroundings, I made my way around a parked car; and there, I surprisingly discovered the sweet Little Bird House Library attached to the bird house tree. I love coming across these free book boxes in city neighborhoods instructing “Take A BOOK ∙ Leave A BOOK ∙ Be A Good Neighbor!” The creative flair of this one makes it my favorite to date. What cheer the homeowner spreads with the books and the inviting bird house display on this busy city street!
What a wonderful find Janet, such pretty colours and a great idea. I'm guessing you were alone in your car, as my peeps would not want me to pull over for a photo impromptu shoot.
Thank you for your kind words yesterday, that was very sweet of you. :)
