The Looking Glass by janetb

The Looking Glass

While the front of our home basks in the day’s first rays of warm, golden light, the back remains in cool, gray shadow until the sun rises high enough to reach over and chase away the dark. The reflection in the looking glass reveals the sun’s progress. Inch by inch, the cool, blue gray oaks and hemlocks and maples and dogwoods turn warm, golden yellow and green; and soon the looking glass, too, will bask in sunshine.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5)
A very nice subject for a photo!

Nicely captured! The mirror reminds me of the one the wicked stepmother looks into in Sleeping Beauty.

I do like the way Nova phrased it - a great use of your unique looking glass - it's just beautiful - what a lovely addition to the outside of your home. As always, your commentary is wonderful.

Beautiful mirror, and I like the way it reflects sunlight even though the sun has not actually hit it yet.
