Standing in the kitchen after a busy day, my eyes went to the windows where I saw a beautiful shade of blue dropping between the stark silhouettes of the big trees surrounding our home. I headed for the upper porch and aimed my camera southwest toward the only break in our beloved wall of trees, which we appropriately refer to as "the clearing.” Blue hour in the clearing — a feast for my eyes.
No tripod and not much tIme for adjusting camera settings meant I came away with a slightly blurred and somewhat grainy image, so I smoothed it a bit in Lightroom and added a canvas texture in Smart Photo Editor. Those treatments improved it enough for me, and I'm happy to have this remembrance of a very special moment in time.
I love this shade of the sky. I saw it for the first time on Saturday and immediately had to do a silhouette too! Great shot. Love the framing by the trees.
