The second window that a local stained glass artist created for us features my husband’s favorite bird, the American Goldfinch, and my favorite bird, the Tufted Titmouse. This window flanks the window created as a tribute to my parents in the dining room with the china cabinet in between. As with the other window, oak leaves in honor of the old oaks surrounding our home frame the scene; but the beloved leaves also made their way into the center of this design. I love the Tufted Titmouse caught in the act of eating an acorn by clutching it with its feet and using its bill to pound away toward the tasty interior — sending tiny acorn bits flying through the air!
Thank you so much for your kind words on yesterday's post of the window designed as a tribute to my parents. I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment!
