Bonfire? by jeneurell

Bonfire?

When I was a kid I probably would have snuck under the barbed wire fence and pinched a few bits of bush and dragged them home for Bonfire Night. Bonfire nights have been banned in Australia for many years, so it is not a popular practice anymore, which is a shame in many ways. I don't know what it's fate is, but it makes a nice foreground for the distant Glasshouse Mountains.
beautiful scene - I think rural folk enjoy a 'bonfire' when they do a burn off.

Lovely capture and scene, the light is great. Wine farmers burn their cuttings at the end of the season. Otherwise outside fires are forbidden here.

What a beautiful vista with those unusual mountains in the distance! What country are you in?

@marshwader I am in Australia. The mountains in the background are the Glasshouse Mountains in southeast Queensland and were named by Captain Cook as he sailed by in the 1700s. I note that you have a degree in fine art - I have a fine art degree too which I completed in 2016. I did mine through the Open Universities and Curtin University in Perth - however, I do live in Queensland. Thanks for the comment.
