My husband gave me the opal ring for my 25th birthday - many years ago. It has been worn a lot and shows it's age. It was a challenge to get a macro shot of it that caught the depth of colour, didn't show all the scratches or the camera's shadow This photo is for the 52 week challenge and this weeks challenge is 'macro'.
