@babbs36@koalagardens Golly gosh heck, I haven't finished upload yet and already I get comments. Many, many thanks, Ladies.
Over the years I have spent hours trying to catch buttermoths in flight, last year I succeeded - with a cheat! My clever camera does 4K video & I extract stills, this is one such.

@elatedpixie@busylady We had been given a Brimstone larval food plant in 2016 & were astonished when Mrs B visited last May. I hope another Mrs B will visit & maybe I can get better images this year.
Thank you for your very kind remarks

@dsp2 Many thanks. She had just taken off after laying several eggs which you can see as tiny, pale barrels on the new leaves. You have to know they are there to easily see them.
Thank you again

@josiegilbert That's very kind, thank you. We hope for another Mrs B's visit this spring and the opportunity to follow metamorphosis from egg to imago.
j
@joev Many thanks. With luck and a following wind, I'll have more Brimstone caterbugs this year and make further and hopefully less futile, attempts at caterpillar faces as they eat. Tripod, lights, 4K video, extract stills...
